GRADING

Dragon’s outstanding state-of-the-art grading theatres are equipped with the latest DaVinci Resolve suites with Advanced Panels, Eizo grade 1 monitoring, and 7 metre projection capable of servicing Feature Film and Episodic productions of every scale. Our team of industry-renowned colourists has wide-ranging experience in HDR, while our latest 4k (DCI) grading theatre offers the flexibility to grade and review images in real-time with full surround playback.

VFX

Dragon’s in-house team of VFX artists are there for all your needs from clean-up to integrating specialist CGI into your finished production. Helping to define appropriate workflows and colour pipelines so no matter what format you shoot, we will ensure a consistent high quality outcome across all stages of the production.

DIGITAL LAB & DIT

Our In-lab / Near-Set Services provide editorial rushes, digital dailies creation as well as consistent data backup and QC during image acquisition. Early involvement of our colour scientists and senior graders guarantee consistency in colour pipeline and a smooth transition into post.

DELIVERY

Our mastering team delivers file masters to the major studios, independents, VOD platforms, and distributors worldwide. Our highly-skilled Technicians work with cutting-edge applications offering automated file quality checks, as well as undertaking human eyeball QAR reports on deliverables, noting every detail to make sure they adhere to all technical guidelines and delivery specifications.

REMOTE SERVICING

As demand for remote services increases, we have a number As the demand for remote solutions has increased, we have developed a number of tailor-made solutions to cover the needs of different types of productions. We can offer remote control systems that allow a remote user to securely control equipment located within our facilities in CARDIFF & LIVERPOOL, with several solutions allowing for remote viewing and live remote grade sessions of material in your home or office, or while you’re on the move on a mobile device.

ONLINE

Our online department provides some of the most skilled editors in the industry, operating across connected shared storage and able to work at any resolutions. Our network infrastructure ensures high-speed performance and flexibility, enabling us to fulfill any creative and technical brief that our clients require.

OFFLINE

Comprising Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premier Pro with centralised Nexis storage, allowing for seamless project sharing between multiple suites. Our offline support team are experts in post production workflows, whether dealing with archive media for a documentary or 4K HDR files for a drama or feature film allowing for seamless movement from offline through to final post.

COLOUR & WORKFLOW MANAGEMENT

Dragon’s long-standing experience and heritage has allowed us to develop a deep understanding of production workflows and colour science. We have a huge knowledge base of different programming genres and can offer advice on the most appropriate workflows depending on your production, post production, and eventual delivery requirements. We are always on hand to provide advice.

SOUND POST

Through our partner Onomatopoeia Post, highly-skilled editors and sound designers are dedicated to work closely with storytellers to bring their distinctive vision to life, as well as re-recording mixers dedicated to staying at the forefront of storytelling through sound. With ADR recording, including crowd sessions, and Foley, we can provide end-to-end services to complete your production. We have state-of-the-art facilities, leading-edge technology, and creatives expert at working in immersive audio formats. Our expertise in Dolby 5.1 helps bring images to life.
